In roaring twenties Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap… until he finds out he’s been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another “Merry Murderess,” Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the “American Dream”: fame, fortune, and acquittal.
Changes made for the Teen Edition
Summer Musical Theatre is designed for graduating kindergarteners through graduating 12th graders with or without experience in theatre. Students will learn to work collaboratively, learn the art of stage character & development, choreography, voice projection while singing and speaking, props, and working with a set. This program begins developing body awareness on stage and giving the confidence to express themselves. At the end of the program, students will showcase their new abilities on the stage.
Sibling discounts and multiple program discounts available. For information on scholarships and payment plans, please contact Academy Director, Danielle at Danielle@faopa.org. She can assist you with financial needs and questions.
