Showcase Players: Pippin

Pippin – Fall 2023 Production

Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.

Showcase Players is designed for high school students with or without experience in theatre. This group will challenge students to reach new barriers in their skill set. Students will be pushed in character development, choreography, voice projection, and working with props and a set. Students will not only create scenes but will experience the energy of acting as an ensemble. At the end of the program, students will showcase their new abilities on the stage.
