FAOPA Homeschool Program
The FAOPA Homeschool Program is an exciting opportunity for young thespians to learn, grow, and explore the world of theatre! This interactive class is perfect for students of all experience levels, from beginners to those with a passion for the stage.
Throughout the program, students will develop skills in character development, movement, voice projection for both singing and speaking, working with props and sets, public speaking, and collaborative theatre-making. Students will also build body awareness and stage presence while gaining confidence in expressing themselves creatively.
The program will culminate in a showcase, giving students the opportunity to bring their newly developed skills to life on stage through a production they have worked together to create.
New This Year!
We are excited to announce our acceptance into the International Thespian Society (ITS)! This exciting addition gives our homeschool students the opportunity to participate in ITS activities and compete alongside other Thespian troupes throughout the state. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to expand their theatre experience, challenge themselves, and connect with other young performers.

Fall 2026: Newsies the Musical – FULL LENGTH
It’s time to carry the banner on your stage with Disney’s Newsies! Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged “newsies.” When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what’s right!
Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Sister Act) and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (Kinky Boots). Featuring the now classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family and every audience.
