Our

Testimonials

Emma Snider, FAOPA Student

{If you ask me to name a place that felt like home, I would tell you FAOPA. I’ve been going to FAOPA for about a year and the amount of knowledge I gained during that short amount of time is astonishing. FAOPA values friendship, hard work, openness, and community. During the short time I’ve been with FAOPA, I’ve met people that have turned out to be my best friends and I have had limitless opportunities to develop myself through acting, singing, dancing, memorization, working efficiently with others, patience, prioritization, and time management. There are many opportunities at FAOPA to be involved in any type of theatre work imaginable. FAOPA offers chances to work in sound, lights, backstage, costumes, make up and hair design, set building and design, and more. FAOPA is a fantastic environment to work and learn in while enhancing any theatre skill that interests you.

Angie Schmidt, Parent of David and Allison Schmidt

{FAOPA has been a blessing for my family. My children have grown to not only love acting, singing, and dancing more than they already did, but they have also grown to love being of service to others by volunteering to help the younger kids. FAOPA has providing a loving, safe place where my children thrive. For this, we are forever grateful.

Nicole Barber-Rivera, Parent of Sophia & Gabby Rivera

{Our experience at FAOPA has been forever life changing! The confidence, friendships, stage knowledge/presence, vocals and new love for music theater my two daughters have gained in just one year has been priceless. The amount of growth in a short period of time is a true testament to the commitment that Heather and her staff have for music theater and the personal attention they give each child. If you are looking for an alternative for kid activities or simply want to build on your child’s confidence, give music theater at FAOPA a try today and watch your child blossom!

Timothy Addie, Senior in High School

{If there’s one way I can describe FAOPA, it would be as a family. From the moment I started working with FAOPA, everyone involved welcomed me with open arms. My improvements in the arts have been fostered to exciting new lengths. I have grown in a multitude of ways, ranging from your typical aspects of the arts like singing and dancing to your more nuanced aspects like problem-solving and teamwork. Thanks to FAOPA I have been given opportunities I never thought possible, and have become a person worthy of my dreams.

Wendi, Parent of Ethan Westrate

{My son was involved with Musical Theatre at Music Showcase for a few years and he absolutely loved it! He even convinced some of his friends to join him in these amazing performances. Lots of fun and he learned some great Theatre and social / teamwork skills! Well worth it!

Maria Snider, Parent of Emma Snider

{Florida Academy of Performing Arts has been such an exceptional place for my daughter to hone in on her musical theatre skills, and learn so much more than we ever bargained for. More importantly, FAOPA has become a “second family” to my daughter and I couldn’t be more grateful. Every encounter I have had, from the moment my daughter started participating in their programs, has been pleasant, warm, welcoming. While my daughter has only been a part of the musical theatre programs and dance classes, I can only imagine how wonderful all the other programs are as well. There’s no other place I’d rather my child want to spend her extra time than FAOPA practicing and perfecting a craft she loves so dearly.
